The Team You’ll Work With
The Career Advisor will work with the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities (MOPD) in partnership
with Mayor’s Office for Talent and Workforce Development (NYC Talent), and NYC Department of
Small Business Services (SBS). The NYC Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities will build upon its
robust workforce initiative NYC: ATWORK to focus on recruitment and engagement of NYC residents
with disabilities who are unemployed and underemployed, to expand the talent pipeline to meet the
demands of businesses, both public and private sectors, in creating a diverse inclusive workforce.

The Problems You’ll Solve
The Career Advisor will provide job seekers with guidance and support on how to improve their hiring
chances through one-on-one sessions, facilitation of workshops and trainings, as well as arranging for
networking opportunities with prospective employers, etc.
