Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver an authentic, multi-sensory curriculum
- Create an engaging and safe learning environment
- Develop balanced schedules and routines
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and the Bright Life teaching staff
- Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to:
- Hear and speak to exchange information
- See to perform assigned duties
- Sit, run, or stand for extended periods of time
- Kneel, bend at the waist, and reach overhead (above the shoulders and horizontally) to retrieve and store files and items
- Lift objects: Ability to lift children and equipment up to 50 pounds
- All requirements are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with a disability.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 ECE/CD units including core classes and currently enrolled in more to complete 12 core ECE/CD units in the future.
- Current health screening with TB test and 3 key immunizations (upon hire)
- Live scan fingerprint clearance/background check (upon hire)
- Have infant/Toddler units or be enrolled (For infant/toddler teachers)
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other closely related fields
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build rapport with children & families
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Initiative and aptitude are highly valued
- Warmth, kindness, and empathy
- Able to connect with children playfully and lovingly;
- Able to design and deliver an authentic and engaging curriculum;
