Requirements:
- Must have patience and enjoy helping clients
- Must have a passion for family law
- Must be able to handle a docket of 30-50 cases
- Must have a get it done/positive attitude
- Must be well spoken
- Must have exceptional drafting skills
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must have excellent organizational skills
- Must be professional and understand our obligation to clients.
- Must have extensive knowledge of the Texas Family Code
- Must have extensive experience handling all family law cases from start to finish
Duties:
- Responsive and Compassionate client contact
- Trial Preparation
- Draft all family law pleadings & Orders
- Discovery – Propound, Respond & Chart
- Calendaring dates for trial settings, general hearings and mediations and Audit calendar for accuracy
- Professional internal and external interaction
- Draft Correspondence
- Handles all supporting tasks associating with a family law case from start to finish
- Duties as Assigned

- Paralegal: 10 years
- Family Law: 10 years

Pay & Benefits:
- Pay - Based on experience - Submit salary requirements in cover letter.

- 10% annual bonus paid in quarterly installments based on performance
- Training (5-10 days per year) - At minimum, we take our paralegals to Advanced Family Course in San Antonio every year.
- Vacation: Year 0: 80 hours (10 days), Year 1: 88 hours (11 days), Year 2: 96 hours (13 days), Year 3+: 120 hours (15 days).
- Intake/Hire Incentives: Most sales calls are handled by our intake team and junior paralegals, but if you set an appointment that hires the firm offers a small incentive per hire.

We are a small family law firm with five attorneys, six paralegals, a law clerk, billing clerks, file clerk and an intake team. The founding attorney has practiced family law for 19 years and interned in a Harris County court for three years before being licensed. Both our founding attorney and one of our senior paralegals are Board Certified In Family Law. Our firm always places our client’s needs before our own, so we are seeking an employee that can do the same.
