DECA Analytics, LLC is a Puerto Rico-based boutique advisory firm specializing in the unique business environment of Puerto Rico. Our process is centered on utilizing a holistic approach that combines quantitative analytics and our qualitative experience and key resources to streamline processes and maximize available monetary incentives.
Our approach is comprised of four core components:
1. Foundational Level: We implement the entire process of setting up a new operation or subsidiary within Puerto Rico, from entity formation to submitting all required filings and obtaining operating permits and licenses.
2. Government Incentives: We structure, negotiate, and secure Puerto Rico-specific Act 60 tax decrees and other government grant initiatives on behalf of our clients to ensure the maximum incentives are received.
3. Ongoing Compliance: We manage all ongoing incentives and operational compliance filings required for operating within Puerto Rico by the various governmental agencies.
4. Access to Capital: We provide access to affordable capital in the form of non-securities transactions encompassing Puerto Rico R&D or Hospitality Tax Credits, local and federal grants, and private or government- backed debt programs.
OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with the ability to think both analytically and creatively to join our fast-growing team of dedicated professionals.
The selected candidate will report to senior leadership and participate in strategic planning and supporting the growth of DECA Analytics.
Responsibilities as an Human Resources Manager:
- Recruitment & Staffing:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Manage the entire recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and ensure timely hiring.
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as the main point of contact for employee inquiries and issues.
- Foster a positive work environment through conflict resolution and employee engagement initiatives.
- Conduct regular employee satisfaction surveys and implement improvements based on feedback.
- Compensation & Benefits:
- Administer and manage employee compensation and benefits programs.
- Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations regarding compensation and benefits.
- Regularly review and update compensation structures to remain competitive in the market.
- Performance Management:
- Develop and oversee performance appraisal systems to evaluate employee performance.
- Provide guidance and support to managers in conducting performance reviews.
- Implement performance improvement plans for underperforming employees.
- Training & Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs.
- Organize and conduct training sessions for employees at all levels.
- Promote continuous learning and career development opportunities within the company.
- Compliance & Legal:
- Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with local labor laws and regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and industry best practices.
- Handle employee grievances and disciplinary actions in accordance with legal guidelines.
- HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to streamline operations.
- Workforce Planning & Analytics:
- Analyze workforce trends and provide insights for strategic planning.
- Monitor and report on key HR metrics to management.
- Assist in the development of succession plans and talent management strategies.
- Diversity & Inclusion:
- Promote a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
- Implement initiatives to enhance diversity and inclusion within the organization.
- Monitor and address any issues related to workplace discrimination or bias.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in Human Resources Management or Juris Doctor with experience in labor and employment laws are preferred.
- Professional Human Resources certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR are preferred.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in a financial services or similar industry is highly desirable.
- Experience in HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance
- management, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of local and federal labor laws and regulations in Puerto Rico.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
