Assist in supervising students throughout the day.REPORTS TO: Building Administrator; Licensed TeacherEVALUATOR: Building PrincipalQUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalencyMay be certified to sub, but not requiredWill operate under direct supervision of teacher and/or administratorExperience is a school setting and/or educational training preferred but not requiredDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate office and classroom equipmentClerical duties and attendance records as assignedPrepare materials and maintain suppliesAdministering, scoring, and/or recording assessment informationProgress monitoring studentsMaintaining files, records, and/or progress monitoring reportsSetup and maintain equipment and learning materialsReinforce lessons initiated by classroom teacher follow up on teachers lesson plansMay be required to work with individuals or small groupsBus and classroom duty assist drivers, teachers, students with adaptive equipment, monitoring physical welfare of student(s) as assignedAssist students with personal and hygienic careMaintain a good work record/punctualityMaintain confidentialityEscorting students to library, computer room, resource room, lunchroom, etc.May supervise student behavior during daily activities - playground, lunchroom, study hall, field trips, etc.Attend appropriate building meetings, in-services, school functions, and/or trainingsPerform other duties as assignedTERMS of EMPLOYMENT;Length of Contract Based on student contact days (no additional days)Length of Day 7.5 hours with 30 minute lunch REQUIREMENTS;Communicate effectively in written and oral form using positive interpersonal skillsAbility to use proper English grammar, punctuation, and sentence structureAbility to work effectively and cooperatively in a team settingAbility to assist in supporting classroom management systems and reinforcing systemsSitting, standing, lifting up to 50 lbs.
