About Foxfire Golf and Country Club
Foxfire is a private, bundled golf community in Southwest Florida with 931 housing units governed by a Master Association Board of Directors. Our annual budget is $9 million with 120 employees. Our recently renovated 27-hole golf course and brand-new amenity offerings are receiving rave reviews from our members. Foxfire has 17 neighborhood associations within our community with their own governing entities.
Position Summary
Foxfire Golf and Country Club seeks a Communications and Member Relations Coordinator to manage the communication functions of the Club, including website administration, deliver exceptional customer service, enhance membership experience, and increase member engagement. The position will interact on a regular basis with Foxfire Members/Owners and will serve as a liaison to the Communications and FoxTales Editorial Committees.
Position Responsibilities
- Create materials for all aspects of the Club, including informational/promotional flyers, posters, brochures, new member packets, menus, tournament flyers, in-house signage, etc.
- Promote Club activities and events using table tents, posters, newsletters, and other means.
- Maintain member bulletin boards.
- Compile content and create layout for monthly internal newsletter. Write, compose, and edit Club communications including the Club’s weekly email updates to members, other member emails, general correspondences, website, and provide proofreading when appropriate.
- Be the website system administrator and ensure that the website is kept up to date, secure, intuitive, and functioning properly.
- Maintain and promote Club’s Website content and mobile app, providing continual updates of the public and private content for the benefit of our existing and perspective members (in particular, the member portal which includes the online calendar of events, roster, and other member information); manage push notifications.
- Provide technical assistance to Club management when appropriate (set up and manage a Zoom meeting, etc.).
- Document/photograph Club events for use in Club communications and publications.
- Maintain a high level of visibility and develop strong relationships with current members working to limit attrition, and keep members engaged and supportive of the Club.
- Effectively respond to member inquiries in accordance with Club standards, policies, and rules.
- Provide feedback, suggestions, and strategies to continuously improve the services provided to members.
- Serve on applicable Club committees to ensure member interests are addressed and goals and branding are understood.
- Assist with coordinating and conducting new member orientations and participate in new member welcome receptions.
- Maintain digital files of Club historical information including photos, tournament and event details, membership changes, and applications.
- Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of all member information.
- Be present during Club operating hours and events to assist in meeting and greeting members and guests.
- Assist with creation, distribution, and analysis of member surveys.
- Understand the Vision and Mission of Foxfire, and consistently reinforce the concepts and brand in all materials.
- Direct the production of onsite and local marketing presence: advertising, collateral materials, signage, and direct mail (including composition, design, and printing).
- Manage and update the media plan on a regular basis for the Club.
- Review, analyze, and maintain marketing plans and calendars.
- Schedule advertising if applicable; collects all digital-ready ads and rough layout with copy; routes all advertisement billing information to the Accounting Department.
- Recommends annual communications and marketing budget; monitors to ensure that marketing expenses are within the established budget; implements corrective actions if necessary to assure that budget goals are met.
- Attends weekly management meetings.
- Posts job openings on the website.
- Complete other appropriate assignments as assigned by the leadership team.

- Participate in ongoing cross training, including assisting in training of new employees, to provide back up and fill in for other areas during vacations, position vacancies or peak periods.
- Maintain a Processes and Procedures manual of their job duties.
- Represent Foxfire Golf & Country Club in a highly professional manner in dealing with other employees, members, vendors and other third parties.
- Show personal interest in increasing competencies through in-services, classes, and training seminars.
- Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the Club.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor or Associate degree in Communications, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field; or two years’ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient with English grammar and possesses skills in news-style writing, feature writing, copywriting, proofreading and editing.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook).
- Familiarity with Adobe applications is a plus (Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat Professional and Canva).
Salary Range
Negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- This is a full-time onsite position.
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand, and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
- This position entails extensive use of computer keypad with hands and fingers.
