Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

Job Summary: The Quality Assurance Tech has the primary responsibility to audit company records and build datasets that will be used to respond to customer complaints and analyze quality parameters and performance. The incumbent will report to the Customer Quality Manager.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

In a timely manner, retrieve and audit records that relate to customer quality complaints and input data from these records into excel.

Following a monthly and yearly schedule, retrieve and audit randomly selected records and input data from these records into excel.

Perform various analytic procedures using proper technique, precisely record data, and input data into excel.

Perform physical audits of the 5 M’s (man, methods, machines, materials, and milieu) and input data into excel.

Build and maintain complex datasets in excel.

Assist in root cause analysis of problems.

Assist in the analysis of data and generation of reports.

Ensure that new specifications, batch sheets, SOPs and other relevant paperwork are updated and in a timely manner and that versions are appropriately controlled.

Contribute to continual improvement of customer quality processes.

Serves as back-up to the Customer Quality Manger.

Performs other tasks/duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Associates degree or higher preferred, but not required.
-
2 – 3 years of relevant experience in lieu of educational qualifications.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook skills

Strong organization (both digital and physical) skills

Meticulous record keeping skills

Knowledge of production SOPs

Strong analytical and reasoning skills (For example, must have ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.)

Strong customer service skills (i.e. views other Departments/Employees as customers, and strives to provide results in a timely fashion that meets expectations at all times.)

Ability to work both collaboratively and independently

Ability to work a flexible work schedule
Working Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The QA Tech will be required to spend long periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, as well as on the production floor. The incumbent will be exposed to loud noises from production equipment and thus will be required to wear PPE. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but may be high at times due to production and mechanical equipment noise.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be performed by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Associates must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push and/or pull, up to 50 pound boxes of paperwork.
