More Than Gymnastics (MTG), a Fort Wayne, IN industry leader in youth sports and recreation, is looking for outgoing, energetic and athletic instructors to teach in our Ninja Program! As an instructor, you will be responsible for teaching the already established Ninja Zone curriculum at MTG. A MTG Ninja Instructor is:
- Motivated to help children learn and grow. Our Ninja program presents physical challenges, often broken down into a series of progressions, to our participants and helps them safely achieve mastery using both their minds and bodies.
- Positive and respectful in all interactions with participants, parents, staff and co-workers
- Using direct, open communication skills
- Successfully, respectfully and safely manages their class and coordinates with additional facility programming by following rotations.
- Learns and utilizes established curriculum
- Efficiently and safely runs an organized, structured class environment.
- Inspires our participants to meet the physical challenges head on with progressions that lead to skill mastery
Ninja Zone training is ideal for all levels of ability and great cross training for young athletes, especially those with backgrounds in gymnastics, martial arts, parkour, or free running. A Ninja instructor at MTG sees the physical potential in every participant and strives to provide opportunities for our participants to build a healthy foundation for learning and skill acquisition. Experience with Ninja training and/or Ninja Zone is not necessary. We can teach you basics, curriculum and technique, but management and interpersonal skills are a must. If you love working with kids, have a kind heart, and a love for fitness… this is the ideal place for you! The current position openings are part-time, with full-time options available for specially qualified candidates. The schedule for this position is moderately flexible.
