Summary:
Responsible for ensuring the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation. Assures accurate, complete clinical documentation through concurrent interaction with physician, nursing staff, other patient caregivers, and Health Information coding staff to support the level of service rendered to all patients. Supports timely, accurate and complete documentation of clinical information used for measuring and reporting physician and Hospital outcomes. Educates all members of the patient care team on an ongoing basis.
Other information:
Licensed as an RN in the State of Arkansas. Five (5) years clinical experience in a hospital setting, with 3 years charge nurse/team leader or other supervisory experience. Utilization Review or coding experience preferred. Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Requires excellent observation skills, analytical thinking, problem solving, plus good verbal and written communication. Interpersonal Skills: Professional, team player, able to communicate well with others on all levels. Strong interpersonal skills, pleasing personality, positive. Frequent contact with other personnel within and outside the hospital. Contacts may be in person, by telephone, or through correspondence. Proactive. Flexible.
This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
