Maintenance Technician Requirements and Qualifications
- 2-3 years of maintenance, construction, or related experience
- General Maintenance Skills: plumbing, electric, carpentry, and appliance repairs
- HVAC Certified is a plus
- Communicates all necessary maintenance related issues to the Maintenance Manager on a daily basis
- Approaches daily responsibilities with a positive attitude
- Treats all residents with courtesy; respond to residents needs in a timely manner; document requests when needed and report to immediately supervisor
- Consistently maintains a professional, courteous attitude when dealing with coworkers at all times.
- Team player mentality
- Lift up to 75 lbs., bending, stretching
- Standing and walking for long periods of time
- Perform various maintenance functions including but not limited to: painting, caulking, HVAC repairs, lock repairs, window/door repairs, electrical repairs, appliance repairs, preventative maintenance, and changing light bulbs, filters, batteries, etc.
- Skilled in working with a variety of hand & power tools
- Complete make readies in a timely fashion.
- Service Requests - complete residents service requests in within 24 hour period
- Assist with the organization and cleanliness of maintenance shop and properties
- Inventory Control - communicate to Maintenance Manager when supplies are needed
- Trash removal as needed
- Maintain, clean and organize garbage enclosures, dumpsters and/or garage compacter areas
- Maintenance Coverage after hours - schedule/execute on call rotation among maintenance team members to ensure someone is always available to handle service requests outside of normal business hours
- Must pass background check
- Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
- Pay commensurate with experience
- Insurance available after 90 days
- Must have valid drivers license
