Job Title: Patent Prosecution Paralegal/IP Specialist
MH2 Technology Law Group, a boutique patent law firm established in 2003, is seeking a Patent Paralegal/ IP Specialist to join our growing attorney-support staff. This position will provide administrative support to our attorneys.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Preparation and filing of Responses, Information Disclosure Statements (IDSs), RCEs, and other various USPTO filing papers.
· Preparation and filing of new provisional, nonprovisional, 371 National Phase and PCT applications, together with associated papers.
· Proofing of Filing Receipts, Notices of Recordation, Notices of Allowance, etc., for accuracy and preparation of corrective requests, as needed.
· Generating reports as requested by client.
· Preparation of draft reporting letters/emails on behalf of the attorneys.
· Enter time and disbursements into firm’s time-tracking software for billing purposes.
· Ability to understand docket entries, recognize action to be taken, and update docket, as necessary.
· Ability to interface successfully with clients, foreign counsel and vendors as an advocate for the firm desired.
The candidate must have at least five years of patent prosecution experience with:
· US, PCT and foreign.
· the procedures of the USPTO; Patent Center and ePCT center filing and navigating websites such as Espacenet and WIPO.
· Docketing experience preferred but not required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Adobe, the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure are required.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
