Compensation: $18 to $20 hourly (depending on experience).

Hours:
- After Care 3 days per week from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
As an Apollo Yoga Teacher, you will be expected to have a reliable means of personal transportation and be able to work in our extended-day program at various after-school sites in the New Jersey area.
Apollo After School offers after-school care and enrichment clubs at local schools. We are seeking enthusiastic, outgoing, personable, and reliable Yoga Teachers to join our aftercare program and provide engaging and age-appropriate yoga instruction to children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, a deep understanding of yoga principles, and the ability to create a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes physical, emotional, and mental well-being. If you don't have a degree as a professional Yoga instructor or in education, no problem! While this is highly valuable we encourage candidates who have a real, genuine passion for working with children and Yoga to apply!

- As an Apollo Yoga Teacher, you will have the opportunity to positively impact children through Yoga.

Planning and implementing engaging Yoga lessons for children aged Pre-K to 5th grade, focusing on beginner-level.

Develop age-appropriate yoga activities that foster physical flexibility, strength, and relaxation.

Create a safe and supportive environment where children feel comfortable and encouraged to participate.

Teach breathing techniques, mindfulness, and relaxation exercises suitable for children.

Integrate storytelling, games, and music to make yoga sessions enjoyable and interactive.

Promote positive behavior and social interactions among children.

Collaborate with other aftercare staff to ensure a cohesive program experience.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of child development and best practices in yoga education.
- Must enjoy Yoga and have a strong desire to inspire young minds.

Knowledge of different Yoga techniques and adapting them to children.

Experience working with children, Pre-K to 5th grade.

Experience teaching Yoga to kids is a plus.

Ability to create fun engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans.
