Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform daily job duties within the processing team and department, including accepting donations, presorting and pricing merchandise.
2. Welcome donors in a timely manner, ensuring they feel appreciated and valued by Mel Trotter.
3. Handle the receiving and donation process with respect and care, greeting donors, assisting with unloading donations, telling the Mel Trotter story, and issuing receipts.
4. Maintain a positive and energetic attitude that aligns with the mission of revealing Christ to donors and team members.
5. Help maintain clean and organized reception, presort, and processing areas.
6. Keep personal processing station clean and organized.
7. Adhere to all employee policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Policy and Procedures manual and the Mel Trotter Mission Statement.
8. Recognize quality merchandise and seek guidance from the Processing Manager for pricing.
9. Thoroughly research merchandise as necessary to maximize the value of donations.
10. Collaborate and effectively communicate with the Processing Manager, other processing employees, and donors on a daily basis.
11. Foster a healthy and productive work environment by working well with fellow employees.
12. Achieve daily and weekly production goals set by the manager, including the overall company goal of 35 pieces produced per hour.
13. Demonstrate the ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
14. Understand and comply with policies and procedures related to donated items, including prohibited items and pricing guides.
15. Utilize the donation receiving script to effectively communicate appreciation, the Mel Trotter Story, and Corner of Your Field to donors.

Education & Experience:

High School diploma or GED preferred.
Physical Requirements:

Work Schedule and Compensation:
- Part-time position, up to 30 hours per week, Monday through Saturday.
