We are seeking individuals for this role that have a passion for working with one and two year old children. Our Young Toddler classroom has a capacity for 9 children between the ages of 12-24 months at the time of enrollment with 2 teachers, and our toddler classroom also has a capacity for 9 children between the ages of 24m - 36 months at the time of enrollment with 2 teachers. We are seeking 1 qualified individual for each classroom to join our team and work alongside our amazing lead teachers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in creating and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and educational activities for children.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in each child.
- Manage classroom behavior and promote positive discipline techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Observe and assess each child's development and provide individualized support when needed.
- Encourage creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning in all children.
Qualifications:
- 12 credits in Early Childhood Education or a related field, including at least 3 credits in child growth and development preferred, but not required
- Previous experience working in a licensed child care program.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Strong classroom management skills to create an engaging and structured learning environment.
- Ability to educate and support children with diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
