Job Summary:
The Pet Care and Scheduling/Client Relations Specialist is a versatile position that requires a commitment to putting pet care first while also managing scheduling and administrative work and maintaining positive relationships with clients. The successful candidate must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, excellent customer service, excellent phone skills, and the ability to make scheduling decisions on their own. Key Responsibilities:
Pet Care:
- Provide daily in-home pet care services such as feeding, walking, and playing with pets.
- Administer medication and follow specific care instructions provided by clients.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of pets at all times.
- Provide dog walking services to clients as needed.
- Engage in play activities with dogs to ensure they get adequate exercise and stimulation.
- Care for cats, including feeding, cleaning litter boxes, and providing attention and play.
- Photograph pets throughout the day using your phone to share updates with clients and on social media.
- Handle difficult dogs in a calm and professional manner to ensure their safety and the safety of others.
Scheduling/Admin Work:
- Manage the scheduling of pet care appointments, including dog walking and in-home pet care, ensuring availability of staff and resources.
- Confirm appointments with clients and follow up on any cancellations or changes.
- Make scheduling decisions independently and communicate changes to clients and team members.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of all appointments and scheduling information.
- Give a daily report on all administrative work completed.
- Complete any additional assignments as needed.
Client Relations:
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients by providing exceptional customer service.
- Contact potential clients and promote our services through phone calls and visits to local pet care facilities, dog parks, groomers, veterinary offices, and other similar locations.
- Respond to client inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Demonstrate excellent phone skills and customer service to effectively communicate with clients.
- Regularly communicate with clients to update them on their pets' well-being and any issues that arise.
- Keep track of all business referrals and provide updates to management.
- Full and extended training in pet care to ensure the ability to provide high-quality pet care services.
Qualifications:

- Live locally to the Sayville area.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in pet care or customer service.
- Knowledge of basic pet care practices and animal behavior.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to walk and handle dogs of various sizes and breeds.
- Valid driver's license and own a reliable vehicle.
- Drive to and from different locations using your personal vehicle.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to handle pets up to 100+ pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
Schedule:
This position is for a full-time evening schedule.
- This is a full-time position with a weekly set schedule of Monday 3pm-11pm, Tuesday off, Wednesday off, Thursday 2:30pm-11pm, Friday 3pm-11pm, Saturday 2pm-11pm, Sunday 2pm-11pm.
- This position includes 12 paid vacation days per year (PTO days), but does not include medical benefits.
The primary focus of the position is pet care, but the role is versatile and requires managing scheduling and administrative work and maintaining positive relationships with clients. - This position is part pet care part admin work. The amount of time you do each would vary depending on the daily amount of work our company has. Are you up for a job that's not boring? And of course, pet care always comes first!

- This position comes with a good amount of training in the pet care side first. Our training schedule is normally done Monday-Fridays. 7am-4pm
You would need to be available to train as needed. Admin training work will be done during your set hours.
- We hire locals to the Sayville area since this is where we work. Are you local? And if not are you willing to drive back and forth daily and around this area using your personal vehicle? Also being local will be very helpful with scheduling staff.
