Job Description Summary:
A successful bartender will be attentive to guests without being intrusive. They should be knowledgeable about the beverages they are serving. A successful bartender will be able to serve beverages efficiently and fluidly. They should be able to make the guest feel at ease and create a comfortable environment. In addition to customer service, they must also be a team player. Event functions are a team effort and by combining these skills and characteristics, bartenders have the opportunity to contribute to a memorable event.

Key Accountabilities
Assist in the successful execution of full-service events.
Duty Statements
- Confirm event information with the direct supervisor - driving & parking directions, uniform requirements, and timing.
- Attend meetings, as necessary, at a designated location, depending on the event.
- As necessary, drive small vehicles, vans, or trucks, depending on comfort level.
- Arrive on time, dressed in the proper uniform
- Maintain a professional appearance and mannerisms at all times.
- Follow health and safety practices at all times.
- Bring a complete “bar kit” with the necessary equipment and supplies
- Set up the bar and arrange bottles and glasses in an attractive and efficient display
- Slice fruit for garnishing drinks.
- Attend pre-event meeting
- Client and guest relations; be courteous, create a great guest experience, customer satisfaction, and anticipate guest needs.
- Follow directions and locations of bussing and clearing stations
- Handle safely and adequately all equipment, glassware, and plate ware
- Clear any dishes and glassware when needed
- Pick up trash and keep all guest areas clean
- Mix drinks in the right measure and under the company’s liquor policies using measured pour spouts for all liquor bottles.
- Check the identification of customers to verify age requirements for the purchase and consumption of alcohol.
- Maintain a sense of urgency when on the service floor
- Maintain the back of the house front of the house for the overall productivity of the event.
- Work with a positive attitude while maintaining teamwork & efficiency.
- Seek council from the direct supervisor when needed.
- Respond quickly to requests from guests, supervisors, or management in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
- Provide friendly service to the guests and ensure that the event has a positive experience and that the customer needs are met.
- Break down bars - pack soda, bottled water, and juices in boxes in an organized manner.
- Pack equipment properly to prevent damage.
- Remove linens and cloth napkins, placing them in the appropriate bags. Make sure they don’t get thrown away.
- Clean all areas and leave them cleaner than were found.
- Check out with the direct supervisor before clocking out.
- Clock in and clock out at the beginning and end of the shift.
- Maintain accurate profile of availability on staffing applicator.
