The LeFrak Center at Lakeside is Brooklyn’s activity destination featuring year-round activities including ice skating, roller skating, bumper cars, dining, water play, biking, boating, family-friendly classes and special events.
This first-class family entertainment facility is comprised of 35,000 square feet of interior space and offices, two ice skating rinks which convert to a splash pad area and roller skating arena, biking and boating activities. Position: Human Resources & Training and Development Manager
We're in search of a Human Resources & Training and Development Manager to join our growing team. Collaborating with the executive management team, this role will spearhead initiatives to enhance employee productivity. The HR Manager will craft, update, and implement HR policies and company guidelines while assisting in talent acquisition for current and future venues.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Conducting training and development needs assessment.
- Crafting training and development programs and objectives.
- Training and mentoring managers and supervisors engaged in employee development efforts.
- Developing and executing recruitment strategies in alignment with operational projections.
- Establishing onboarding procedures and educating new hires on HR policies and procedures.
- Drafting official internal documents such as offer letters, handbooks, and manuals.
- Managing employee files and records.
- Developing employee engagement strategies, securing budget approvals, and initiating activities.
- Addressing employee grievances and administering disciplinary action where necessary.
- Researching and implementing industry best practices related to human resources management and compliance.
- Maintaining compliance records.
- Attending external seminars.
- Crafting and executing ongoing training seminars for employees.
- Monitoring and maintaining health and safety reports and compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar capacity.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in evaluating and researching training options and alternatives.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective training and development initiatives.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of administrative tasks and responsibilities.
- Advanced computer skills, including data processing, communication tools and HR software.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- SHRM certification preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $65,000.00 per year
