Full Job Description
iStudio Projects is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Drafter looking to expand your portfolio, join our dynamic team, and grow and advance with us. This role involves creating detailed drafts, submittals, and shop drawings, as well as conducting site surveys for our innovative theatrical projects. You will be a direct support to our Lead Drafter.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Utilize AutoCAD to produce accurate and detailed architectural drafts, including elevations, plans, and sections.

Develop comprehensive submittal packages for project approval processes.

Create precise shop drawings to guide the production and assembly of staging and equipment systems.

Perform detailed site surveys, including measurements and inspections, to ensure designs are correctly implemented in various environments.

Collaborate with design and project management teams to translate concepts and sketches into formal design documents.

Assist in the preparation of detailed drawings and plans for construction projects.

Support the Lead Drafter by providing drafting assistance and ensuring all plans meet project specifications.

Conduct site visits to gather information and ensure plans are accurate and up to date.
The ideal candidate should possess:

Proficiency in AutoCAD with the ability to produce clear and accurate drawings.

Must have experience or strong familiarity with tv/film production and/or theatrical systems, staging setups, and an understanding of performance space dynamics.

Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with other designers and project stakeholders.

Educational background in drafting, architecture, theatrical design, or a related field is preferred.

Ability to safely use harnesses and climb stairs and ladders.
