What are we looking for?
Back of the house professional with the ability to engage with managers/co-workers and customers to provide the ultimate experience. Be a fundamentally good and decent human. Prepare food to our specifications. Be willing to prep and clean, and the ability to work independently. We have a small but compassionate team that puts out a highly diverse and quality menu, and need someone that can grill a taco as well as make beef bourguignon.
Open Availability for All Shifts, looking for someone to fill up to 5 shifts a week. 9am to 5pm, 4 to 10pm, for an average weekly schedule of 25-40 hrs, depending on Manager discretion.
We usually only have 2 cooks during shifts, but add a dishwasher or prep cook on busier shifts. The cook must be able to prep, cook, and clean by themselves.
We are looking to soft open in 60 days, if not sooner.
This is a tipped position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures that all stations remain stocked before and during the meal period.
- Verifies that kitchen staff follow all recipes and portion servings correctly and according to menu specifications
- Keeps kitchen, dish, and storage areas clean and organized
- Places food and supply orders as directed
- Receives products and verifies invoice pricing, quantity, and that products meet palm specifications
- Assists in training and certifying employees to company standards
- Sets excellent customer service and work examples
- Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Chef at any time
- Must be able to successfully work Pantry, Sauté, Middle, Broiler, Helper, Dish, and Expo stations
- Maintains inventory systems as directed by the Chef
- Plays an active role in developing and implementing daily specials
- Obtain and maintain current ServSafe and Foodservice Management Professional (FMP) certifications
Skills and Attitudes:
- College or culinary training and/or extensive cooking and production experience
- Food and beverage knowledge
- Knowledge of basic training techniques
- Understanding of local, state, and federal health and sanitation laws
- Understanding of proper use and maintenance of major kitchen equipment, including stoves, refrigeration, knives, and dish machine.
- Professional oral and written communication skills
- Able to work in high energy and demanding environment
- Team player with strong leadership skills
- Effective problem solving and ability to take direction
- Computer competency
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand and exert fast paced mobility for entire shift. Good sense of balance
- Able to lift, bend, kneel, and wipe
- Able to frequently lift and carry food, beverage, and other items greater than 35 pounds

Job Duties:
