Program Moderator- MS in Medical Science Program (Part-time)
Job Summary
Oversees the quality of the student learning experience through classroom management and support. Ensures that program expectations concerning student experience and student engagement are met. The Moderator is a critical member of the MSMS team in supporting students in the classroom in multiple functions described below.
Job Duties
· Setup and support the MSMS classroom for In-Class Sessions (ICS).
· Set up and monitor Zoom conference for interactive classroom sessions.
· Take physical attendance.
· Facilitate dynamic classroom learning methodology. This will include funneling questions to the partnership team during ICS sessions.
· Classroom management of students to promote optimum learning and participation.
· Keep students on schedule and on-task.
· Collect / aggregate student questions.
· Take questions/concerns from their respective students.
· Address concerns as they arise.
· Meet regularly with Program Director to discuss student program performance
· Support / proctor exams.
· Experience with ExamSoft preferred.
· Maintain regular communication with educational partners.
· Discuss technical issues or delays.
· Equipment Management and Troubleshooting.
· Manage AV equipment not limited to Classroom Computer, Conferencing Platform, Microphone, Speaker.
· Performs related duties as required or directed.
Physical Requirements
· Light work-standing, walking, lifting up to 25 lbs.
· Talking, hearing, repetitive motions.
· Close visual acuity-viewing computer screen, extensive reading.
Minimum Requirements
· Have a background or degree in science, education, or a related field.
· Have some teaching, TA experience, customer service experience.
· Have familiarity with learning management platforms, educational technology, or similar, preferably Canvas LMS, ExamSoft, etc.
· Have 24 hours per week to dedicate towards the MSMS program responsibilities.
· Able to work between the hours of 8-4pm, Tuesday through Friday. No weekends. Anticipate scheduled off-periods during trimester breaks.
· This position is subject to the TIBER/MSMS calendar versus NUHS
Preferred Requirements
· Have technology or data analytics experience.
