Job Responsibilities:
Assist with accounts payable invoice processing; Provide financial and accounting support for construction projects; Reconcile accounts and support management with financial data entry and reporting for meetings and management decisions. Provide administrative assistance in creation of subcontractor contracts, collection and organization of required documentation, etc. Work closely with the Director of Construction on the creation of monthly invoices to project owners.
Accountant Job Duties:
● Effectively manage QuickBooks company file for Cal Gold Construction.
● Support the General Contracting division by providing accounting services and assisting in sub-contractor commitments, payments and lien services.
● Facilitate, maintain and enforce cost control measures in place.
● Create bills accurately and timely to development companies within the California Gold Portfolio and track and follow-up on accounts receivable invoices.
● Coordinate and track lien releases with multiple sub-contractors on various jobs through-out CA Gold.
● Process sub-contractor invoices and facilitate payments in a timely manner.
● Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
● Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
● Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
● Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
● Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
● Maintain confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.

Accountant Skills and Qualifications:
Accounting and Corporate Finance; Strong Computer Skills including Dropbox, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office Word and Microsoft Excel; Requires knowledge and experience with lien releases; Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills; Attention to Detail; Deadline-Oriented; Confidentiality; Time Management; Data Entry Management; Strong General Math Skills.
