Brief Summary of Job Description
The successful applicant will be trained in a laboratory/health sciences related discipline (anatomy, physiology, microbiology, genetics, cellular biology, parasitology, or immunology) and will be expected to pedagogically address and respond to the learning needs of students from diverse backgrounds that have been historically underrepresented. Duties will include 1) teaching on-campus undergraduate courses 2) developing and instructing online graduate courses 3) establishing a successful independent research program involving undergraduate students and 4) performing service to the department, university, and profession.

Required Qualifications
Ph.D. or equivalent in a biological field; teaching experience in courses related to the laboratory/health sciences; ability to be granted graduate faculty status (evidence of two recent publications in peer reviewed journals within the last 3 years); strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Post-doctoral experience; experience mentoring undergraduate student research; skill in online instruction; evidence of grant writing.
