Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to oversee and manage the maintenance operations of our facility. The Maintenance Director will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of all equipment and systems, as well as leading a team of maintenance assistants. This is a leadership role that requires strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to effectively supervise and coordinate maintenance activities.
Duties:
- Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Oversee the maintenance of all equipment, machinery, and systems in the facility
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them in a timely manner
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services
- Manage maintenance and housekeeping budgets and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources
- Train, supervise, and evaluate maintenance and housekeeping staff to ensure high performance and adherence to safety protocols
- Collaborate with other departments to prioritize maintenance needs and minimize downtime
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a maintenance/plant-related position
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage applications
- Knowledgeable in boilers, compressors, generators, as well as various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Must possess knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
