INDUSTRY: Liquid Food Packaging Industry
PURPOSE:
A fantastic opportunity is available for a Field Service Engineer to join one of the most reputable and environmentally friendly companies in the liquid food packaging industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Collaborate with Service Team members on installation projects.
- Provide first-call response and technical support on customer complaints and identified product performance issues in the field.
- Act as the technical expert in troubleshooting and problem-solving for filling equipment, downstream equipment, conveyors, case packers, etc.
- Work side-by-side with customer manufacturing leaders and field operators to troubleshoot, solve problems, and provide technical support.
- Manage complaints and ensure timely resolution by ensuring good communication between customers, spare parts, and sales teams.
- Support the Paper Sales team in achieving strategic goals and annual budgets through customer and competitive intelligence gathering.
- Provide customer training education and technical support to the field sales organization where needed.
- Be readily available to accept repair, install, and/or preventative maintenance calls from customers.
- Provide onsite technical support and repairs of customers' equipment.
- Able to travel (domestic and international).
- Must be organized and have the ability to manage multiple priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Technical School, Electrical and Mechanical, PLC knowledge.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in field technical, product management, or quality engineering roles, and aseptic packaging and related equipment.
- Demonstrated track record of customer satisfaction and reputation for subject matter expertise.
- Ability to analyze, diagnose, and problem-solve product performance issues in liquid packaging machines, downstream handling equipment, case packers, wrap rounds, etc.
- Ability to assimilate relevant data and information to make informed recommendations.
- A self-starter who is highly motivated and able to work individually and within a team.
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office literate).
- The ability to travel 95% of the time or as needed.
- Must be able to take direction and follow instructions explicitly.
