Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our team in the food industry. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals in our restaurant or kitchen. Your expertise in food preparation, menu planning, and food handling will contribute to the success of our establishment.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and portion sizes
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Assist in menu planning and development
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or needs to management
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a restaurant or dietary department
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Familiarity with menu planning and recipe creation
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
