OMNI Surgery Center/OMNI Pain and Precision Medicine is seeking Registered Nurses for WEEKDAY SHIFTS, at its state-of-the-art, multi-specialty, ambulatory surgery center in Utica, New York. Multiple part-time and full-time positions available, with flexible shifts from 8 - 12 hours. No weekends, no nights, no on-call.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Preoperative, Interoperative, and Postoperative Functions.

Prepares patients for surgery, assist physician during surgery, observe and monitor post-op patients.

Prepares rooms, equipment and supplies to accommodate the patient load.

Assists physician with procedure.
-
Administers medications for conscious sedation under direct supervision of physician.

Provides patient education.
-
Assists in transporting patient from pre-op/admit area to procedure room after greeting and identifying patient.

Assists with opening supplies and assisting with surgical preparation.
-
Assists in inventory and restocking.
-
Assists in maintaining a comfortable, orderly, clean safe environment with the Center.

Documents on all forms as required.

Adheres to the Center’s policies and procedures.

Maintains open and positive communication with nursing personnel and other health professionals.

Communicates in a positive manner with patients, families/significant others.

Maintains professionalism within the Center.

Participates in continuing education programs.

Participates in risk management and quality assurance activities.
-
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Current licensure in New York as a Registered Nurse.

Progressive work experience in ambulatory care.
-
Current ACLS certification.
-
Competence in oral and written communication.
-
Intermittent physical mobility/activity including walking, standing, sitting, lifting, pulling and pushing of carts, equipment, etc.
