Home Health Occupational Therapist
Duties:
- Assess patients' physical, mental, and emotional capabilities to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Develop and implement individualized therapy programs to improve patients' daily living skills and independence
- Provide therapeutic interventions to address motor skills, sensory processing, cognitive abilities, and social-emotional development
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on strategies for managing their conditions and maximizing functional abilities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Ability to assess patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Experience in speech therapy or case management is a plus
