Hart’s Turkey Farm Restaurant, a third-generation, family owned and operated restaurant and caterer, located in the heart of the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, is looking for an amazing, experienced Event Sales & Catering Manager to join our team. This is a Full-Time, Year-Round position.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will be a motivated, hospitality-focused professional with previous restaurant and catering sales experience available to work on a full-time basis guided by the hours of the catering season and needs of our clients. The Event Sales & Catering Manager will oversee all catering operations (sales, client relations, planning, and execution of events), staffing of events (service and kitchen teams), and will work closely with management to grow and maintain a successful catering department. This is a hands-on position, with responsibilities encompassing all areas of the catering department. The position is about creating a positive work environment, guaranteeing client satisfaction, training a great team, and motivating that team to success.

Requirements:
- Weekend availability required
- Height of event season is May-October. More working hours may be necessary during this time.
- Experience with Microsoft Office program suite
- Physical ability to set up rooms for events (table/chair arrangements)
- Able to drive to off-site events to oversee all aspects food and service, as well as check in with event guests
- Able to drive catering trucks to some events or for drop offs as needed
- Exceptional customer service skills over the phone, through email, or in person
- 1-2 years catering experience or similar event sales and planning preferred
Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
- Meeting with current and potential clients and discussing menu planning and event details related to the food and service
- Facilitating room set up and follow through of in-house functions
- Traveling to off site events to lead and assist our cook and service teams through a great event.
- Being a member of the catering service team while leading them through events may be needed
- Handling all aspects of paperwork for events - for our office, the cook team, the service team, and the client.
- Help with the hiring and training of our catering team
- Facilitate menu creation and pricing
- Help with marketing and social media exposure for our catering department
- Assist with other departments in the restaurant during our busy holidays and as needed
- Actively seek to increase event sales by attending wedding shows, develop corporate relationships for events, be involved in community events and sponsorships as a representative of Hart's
