The Goddard School of Avon is searching for an experienced and professional Education Director to lead our school. As Education Director, you will be responsible for managing our program, curriculum, and awesome team! The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field as well as a minimum of 3-5 years of management experience in a licensed early childhood center. The Goddard School of Avon, IN is a NAEYC & Paths to Quality Level 4 accredited Early Childhood Education program that uses a play-based, child-centered approach to learning. The Goddard School’s proprietary F.L.E.X. (Fun Learning Experience) framework encourages children to make their own choices as they play and explore their environment, which is how they learn to understand the world around them. This approach helps children develop emotional, academic, social, creative, and physical skills while providing them with a well-rounded experience. Director Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting him or herself with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
- Overseeing school all facility operations.
- Management and continuous improvement of the school’s education program
- Maintaining enrollment level of 98% or above.
- Hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of our teachers.
- Being an inspirational leader and team builder!
- Conducting classroom observations.
- Being proactive about developing strong relationships with our families.
- Mastering, complying with, and enforcing compliance with all state childcare licensing regulations, Goddard QA, NAEYC, and Paths to Quality standards.
- Maintain current NAEYC accreditation and PTQ Level 4
- Projecting a positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrating highly effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Having the ability to resolve challenging issues in a strategic and thoughtful manner.
- Having a genuine love for children and a strong commitment to education.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years of managerial experience (ideally 3-5 years) in an Early Childhood Center or Preschool setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to professional development
