We are looking for a driven individual with insurance-based billing experience. You will be working alongside a team of professionals for a well-known, highly-regarded, dermatology practice that puts our patients above all else.
Job Responsibilities:
Ability to adapt to the significant and frequent changes in the healthcare market.
Knowledge of appeals and claim issues
Ability to work well independently, and as part of a collaborative team
Strong investigative skills with detail orientation
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to accurately read and write medical terminology.
Knowledge of medical coding
Knowledge of HIPAA
Interact with the public, vendors, and agencies.
Maintain daily initial and secondary billing on all organizations.
Maintains a high level of use, knowledge, and function of computer systems as it relates to billing, posting, and other functions performed by the department.
Maintains a high level of knowledge and understanding of the insurance guidelines for all payors.
Follows insurance plan guidelines as well as State and Federal Regulations
Ability to learn quickly.
Prioritize multiple tasks efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment.
Competency in working within a healthcare billing and records system.
Ability to analyze payment trends and troubleshoot collection issues.
Review daily billing checklists and audits.
Knowledge of billing guidelines and regulations.
General knowledge of the entire revenue cycle.
Crossed trained throughout the billing department
Job-related tasks:
The process of working past due accounts and sending the final notice letter/follows through with letters
Posting insurance checks to patient accounts
Sends medical records to insurance companies
Works on Prior Auths for the Blue light procedure
Desired skills and experience:
Minimum of 5 years medical billing or revenue cycle experience.
Willing to roll up your sleeves to get work done.
Well-organized with multi-tasking skills.
Task and detail-oriented.
Confident communicator.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and internal personal skills.
Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
