Olympic Community Action Programs is hiring a Housing Operations Manager in Port Townsend (located on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula in Washington). The position is full-time with benefits.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Operations Manager Responsibilities:
1 Assist Housing Director in day-to-day operations of Housing programs. 2. Create and give reports to the Housing Director.
3. Assist in the screening and hiring of housing program staff.
4. Organize onboarding and scheduling.
5. Explore innovative practices and assist Director in implementation and training.
6. Build alliances and partnerships with service providers and other organizations throughout Jefferson and Clallam County.
7. Provide inspired leadership for the organization.
8. Promote a company culture that empowers top performance and high morale through modeling, education, and support.
9. Explore and attend community and regional advisory groups and meetings to promote allegiances and trust with communities served, acting as a second where Housing Director is a primary member.
10. Develop a keen understanding of evidence based best practices including, but not limited to, trauma-informed care, housing first, harm reduction and motivational interviewing.
11. Promote cultural humility.
12. Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures.
13. Oversee billing, budgeting, reporting, planning, auditing, and monitoring.
14. Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and grant/monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
15. Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
16. Manage Housing grants.
17. All other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Operations Manager Requirements:
Experience in management, operations, and leadership.
Ability to view difficult situations and challenging individuals through a lens of curiosity
Develop an understanding of intersectionality and its relationship to equity and inclusion in relation to housing services and programs as well as program staff.
Ability to translate grants as well as local and national regulations into policy
Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow management.
Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and staff.
Excellent communication skills.
Solid understanding of financial and grant management.
Ability to handle stress when working with customers and staff in crisis.
Extensive knowledge of computer applications required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Preferred two year degree in a related field from an accredited public or private institution with at least 30 qtr. hours or the equivalent semester hours in the field of adult education, human development, human services, social work or administration/business degree.
2. Experience in shelter/housing related case management; low income families and crisis intervention. Experience in working with people from diverse cultural, socio-economic, experiential and educational backgrounds. Experience in managing staff, budgets, audits and monitoring protocols.
