Low Voltage CAD Technician
Job Description:
Symphony Technology Solutions is a rapidly grow Technology Integrator looking for a CAD Designer to support our talented team. This team member would be responsible for putting together submittal packages, shop drawings, mark ups and as-builts with the supervision of the engineers that meet industry standards. Responsibilities would also include equipment and cabling take offs for the estimating team and maintaining CAD libraries.
Responsibilities:
Produce shop drawings, line drawings, elevation details and as built drawings as required.
Reviewing BIM modelling formats / protocols and coordination as well as reviewing analysis and findings such as clash detection and resolving clashes
Follow CAD standards and provide support in developing CAD standards and families as needed.
Produce Design Development and Construction Document sets based on mark-ups and redlines received from project managers
Provide advice / guidance to the project team, quality control (verifying model content during each phase) and checking procedures. Providing technical support to the project team regarding modelling enquiries
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and 2 years of CAD experience or an Associate's Degree in Computer Aided Drafting. (Architectural)
- Proficient in AutoCAD LT 2020.
- Strong working knowledge of Revit.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience using REVIT and AutoCAD software to produce details/drawing as well as elements and families
- Ability to put together drawing package using pre-built families.
- Ability to pick up Redlines and Markups.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Previous Low Voltage experience with following systems AV, Structured Cabling, CCTV, Access Control is a plus.
- Bluebeam Experience.
- Microsoft Office experience.
