The selected technician must have a mechanical aptitude and is expected to perform wheel alignments, front end and suspension work.
Automotive Alignment Technician - Essential Duties
- Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with shop and industry standards.
- Drives vehicle onto alignment rack, tests vehicles for faulty wheel alignment, bent axle, worn ball joints and bent steering rods.
- Test - drive vehicles, test components and systems using diagnosic
- Diagnose automotive issues and prepare estimate for customers.
- Straightens axle and steering rods, adjusts shims, tie rods and joining pins to align wheels or install new parts.
- Attends manufacturer product training as requested.
- Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Must have hand and diagnosic tools
- Basic computer skills
- 2 or more years automotive industry.
- Knowledge of performing wheel alignments
- A valid drivers license
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and stand and walk the entire shift.
