Job Summary: We are seeking meticulous and reliable Vacation Rental Cleaners to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in vacation rental properties. The Vacation Rental Cleaner will be responsible for performing thorough deep cleans, maintaining inventory, and upholding the company's quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Cleaning and Sanitization:
- Perform thorough deep cleans of vacation rental properties, including kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces, and bedrooms.
- Clean and sanitize all surfaces, including countertops, sinks, showers, toilets, appliances, and furniture.
- Remove trash, dust, and debris from all areas.
- Vacuum carpets and rugs, and sweep or mop hard floors.
- Clean and polish windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard of quality and cleanliness.
Linen and Towel Management:
- Change and wash linens, towels, and other bedding items.
- Make beds and arrange linens neatly and attractively.
- Ensure that clean and fresh linens are properly stored and ready for use in the vacation rental properties.
Restocking Supplies:
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, toiletries, and amenities.
- Check inventory levels of supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, and cleaning products.
- Inform the supervisor or manager when supplies are running low or need to be replenished.
Maintenance and Reporting:
- Inspect vacation rental properties for any damages, maintenance issues, or missing items.
- Report any damages, maintenance needs, or missing items promptly and accurately to the supervisor or manager.
- Follow proper protocols for reporting and documenting any incidents or accidents that occur during cleaning duties.
Time Management and Scheduling:
- Adhere to assigned cleaning schedules and complete tasks within designated timeframes.
- Coordinate cleaning activities with the supervisor or team members to ensure efficient property turnovers.
- Adjust cleaning priorities as needed based on guest arrivals, departures, and any special requests.
Communication and Teamwork:
- Communicate effectively with the supervisor, team members, and other staff members.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and high-quality cleaning services.
- Provide assistance and support to team members as needed.
Qualifications:
Prior Cleaning Experience:
- Previous cleaning experience, preferably in the vacation rental or hospitality industry, is strongly preferred.
- Understanding of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment is desired.
- Familiarity with best practices for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards is an asset.
Physical Stamina:
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and carrying heavy cleaning equipment and supplies (up to 25 pounds).
Attention to Detail:
- Keen eye for detail to ensure thorough cleaning and meticulous attention to all areas.
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and quality.
Time Management and Adaptability:
- Strong time management skills to complete tasks within designated timeframes.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and work weekends or holidays as needed.
Communication and Teamwork:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with others to achieve common goals.
Work Schedule:
- This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule.
- Some evening and weekend work will be required to align with guest stays and property turnover.
