SUMMARY
This position provides a variety of outpatient behavioral health assessments, therapeutic, and treatment services for children, adolescents, adults, families, and groups in the Copper River region.
JOB DUTIES
· Provide a wide range of therapeutic assessment, client counseling, treatment, and referral services to children, adolescents, adults, families, and groups and other behavioral health clients, under supervision of the Behavioral Health Clinical Director.
· Coordinate therapeutic services with CRNA and regional providers in accomplishing goals/objectives of treatment plans.
· Provide behavioral health services that include but are not limited to: outpatient substance abuse treatment, outpatient psychotherapy, and aftercare for all qualifying residents in the Copper River region.
· Participates in educational programs, in-service meetings, clinician meetings, and workshops to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and providers in accomplishing treatment plans.
· Work with both voluntary and involuntary client populations.
· Participate in prevention, education, and outreach activities
in the villages and the community, and Behavioral Health sponsored events.
· Ensure that all clinical records and documentation for are accurate, timely, and in compliance with CARF, State, Federal, ethical guidelines, CRNA, and other identified guidelines.
· Travel when required to regional communities to provide services.
· Enhance professional development and maintain currency of methodology and techniques.
· Work as an effective team member within the Behavioral Health Department and CRNA.
· Takes initiative to link clients to other services.
· Provide monthly village outreach in the six compact villages.
· Facilitate group therapy.
· Attend required training.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

· Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders
· Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental health problems
· Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
· Ability to use appropriate training, instructional methods, and techniques/procedures based upon the situation and current qualification.
· Willingness to learn about and understand the impact of historical, developmental, and related forms of trauma on clients and community members.
· Ability to incorporate Alaska Native culture and lifestyle by utilizing culturally sensitive interventions.
· Strong understanding and sensitivity to Alaska Native culture and lifestyle, with demonstrated experience working effectively with Alaska Native population.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Master’s degree in a mental health field: social work, counseling, or psychology.
· 2-5 years of clinical work experience post-licensure providing Behavioral Health Services.
· Alaska licensure in field of study or have existing licensure from another state with ability to obtain Alaska licensure.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with Electronic Health Records.
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in field of study.
WORKING CONDITIONS

The work is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying of items weighing less than 25 lbs. The majority of work is performed in an office setting with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities, and abilities. CRNA is a smoke free and tobacco free campus. May require local travel between compact services of CRNA which may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions. Works in an environment where protection of client confidentiality is essential. Personal Protective Equipment will be provided when and where needed.
SPECIFICATIONS
Supervision Received:
Work will be monitored through meetings, reports, and regular communication with the Clinical Director. General guidelines for operations are based on program requirements, conditions of grant award(s), and the general policies and procedures of CRNA.
Supervision Exercised:
Position will not exercise supervision.
Contacts:
Contacts include and not limited to volunteers, organizational staff, clients, and outside agencies.
CONDITIONS OF HIRE

· CRNA is a no tolerance workplace. All employees must pass an initial and random drug and alcohol screening to be eligible for and maintain employment.
· CRNA has several positions that require a criminal background check for the safety of our clients. All employment offers in the “covered” classification are conditional until CRNA has received a Federal criminal background check verifying eligibility to work in these programs.
· First Aid/CPR certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire for required positions.
· As applicable by position and company policy, must meet standards for fitness for duty, immunizations, credentialing and privileging.
