Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide crisis intervention and support to individuals in need, utilizing their skills in behavioral health, addiction counseling, and social work. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of motivational interviewing and mental health counseling. This role is critical in ensuring the well-being of our clients and providing them with the resources necessary to achieve their goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide crisis management and intervention services to clients in need, utilizing a supportive and non-judgmental approach.
- Conduct behavioral health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Offer addiction counseling and support to individuals struggling with substance abuse.
- Collaborate with mental health professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients to make positive lifestyle changes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions and progress.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in behavioral health and social work.
- Mentor and support junior staff members to promote a positive and supportive work environment.
- Work closely with other support specialists and mental health professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care.
- Provide support and guidance to clients and their families, focusing on their overall well-being and recovery.
- Attend weekly staff meetings and care team meetings to ensure client care and safety.
Skills
- Strong understanding of crisis management and intervention techniques.
- Experience in behavioral health, addiction counseling, and social work.
- Knowledge of motivational interviewing and mental health counseling principles.
- Proficiency in systems and technology used in behavioral health settings.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $1,000.00 - $2,500.00 per month
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
