POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is primarily responsible for district level support and coordination of essential tasks of the Legacy District Office. The Executive Assistant also supports the roles of Academic Leadership Team and any day-to-day needs within the HR Department of Vertex Education or other areas as requested. Reliability and a strong work ethic combined with great communication skills and project management/organizational skills are a must, as well as familiarity with all necessary office equipment, software, and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Specific tasks, responsibilities or competencies may be documented in the incumbent’s performance objectives as outlined by the incumbent’s immediate supervisor or manager.
- Serves as the direct executive support for the Superintendent
- Manages clerical onboarding of new employees to Legacy and verifies state requirements in order to assist the Human Resources department.
- Assists with employee onboarding and provides content knowledge training (where to find, how to create, how to manage existing content).
- Offers support in organizing schedules, attends department meetings to record minutes, and coordinates travel for Legacy Superintendent and relative stakeholders.
- Assist with Superintendent tasks and inter-departmental tasks to ensure streamlined workflow between Vertex and LTS (as requested)
- Compose, edit, duplicate, and update correspondence, process reports, and other confidential documents; research and verify information from reports and assigned projects.
- Researches and helps provide clarity surrounding state agency requirements for LTS staff as requested
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information shared from Superintendent and other district leaders
- Assist with purchasing, bills, district mail, and support district level projects
- Performs other related duties as required by supervisor

- Strong computer skills with Google Drive applications, Project Management Tools, and email workflow programs
- Experience with managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience with keeping records and tracking systems

BACKGROUND CHECKS
- The incumbent in this position will be required to pass a criminal history background check
- Must be able to obtain and hold a valid IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at all times
PHYSICAL AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Travel between campuses is required from time to time.
- This position requires the need to lift objects (up to 25 pounds) on occasion.
- This position may require sitting for long periods at times, talking on the phone, standing, kneeling, stooping and long periods of concentration.
- Local, in-state, and out of state travel required.
