Title: Sr. Manager of Contracts & Compliance

Summary:
Working under the direction of the General Manager, the Sr Contracts Manager will provide support in a wide variety of activities in Contracts Administration.
Job Description:
* Manages communication with both internal and external customers and stakeholders in a timely and professional manner. Drafts letters, memos, and other documentation as required. Maintains contractual files, databases, and supporting documentation, in audit ready condition and in compliance with Contractual requirements.
* Reviews incoming Purchase Orders for compliance and accuracy, and completes Contract Checklists to document acceptability of incoming Order. Enters new Sales Orders into company data systems, ensuring completeness and accuracy of data. Understands the urgency of entering Sales Order into the system, and the criticality of the Order being correct. Has a basic understanding of key Terms and Conditions. Works closely with the Contract Service Coordinators and Contract Administrators to identify and resolve discrepancies between Kaman Sales Orders and Customer Open Order Reports.
* Tracks progress payments for Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) items per Sales Order Requirements and closes out same upon completion. Drafts Requests for Cost Estimate (RFCE) and routes to appropriate department for Proposal preparation. Tracks
proposal deadlines, to ensure timely submission for new and follow on opportunities. Supports Engineering Changes and Change Board, by processing Customer Changes, submitting Change Proposals, and supporting Contract Administrators in following up with Customers to ensure timely implementation and payment. Leads weekly RFCE Tag Up meeting between Contracts and Cost Estimating, to ensure consistency between the teams.
* Closely coordinates with other functions, including but not limited to Compliance, Supply Chain, Cost Estimating, Finance, Engineering, Program Management, and Production Control to ensure Customer commitments and Contractual requirements are met.
* Gathers data and prepares a variety of reports, metrics and presentations to track multiple issues and matters of concern to the company and/or customer such as Pending, Delinquencies, Sales Forecasts, Sales Order Status, etc. Submits contractually required status reports on a regular basis.
* Coordinates company's Inter Divisional Work Authorization (IDWA process) to ensure compliance to approved practices.
* In close coordination with the Contract Administrators (CA), support basic CA tasks such as the review of Proprietary Information and Non Disclosure Agreements and surge support for IPT meetings.
Qualified candidates would have the following:
- Five to seven years experience with at least one year in a contracts or legal environment.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
