High Volume and Complex Benefits Coordination Call Center Environment

Our Government Benefits Administrators play a crucial role in this mission, navigating complex benefits coordination in a high-volume environment. This position requires the use of multiple monitors, online tools, and constant coordination and engagement with management.
Role Overview:
The Government Benefits Administrator advocates for and assists beneficiaries in applying for and requalifying for government assistance programs. Building trusting relationships with members, they provide essential application assistance and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct telephonic outreach activities for members needing to apply or recertify for various Medicaid programs.
- Collaborate with government offices to complete the application and recertification process accurately.
- Secure necessary documentation for Medicaid/MSP renewal applications.
- Adhere to state requirements and secure supporting documentation with attention to detail.
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly production goals, ensuring quality standards, proper phone etiquette, adherence to scripts, state regulations, HIPAA compliance, and accurate documentation.
- Participate in operational development programs as required.
- Research changes in state and federal regulatory requirements to maintain strict compliance.
- Demonstrate behaviors, actions, and attitudes reflecting our vision, mission, and values.
Role Requirements:
- Medicaid program experience and screening for Medicaid eligibility are strong pluses!
- Fluent in Spanish (speak, read, and write) is a plus!
- Expertise in Medicaid, Special Needs Programs (SNP), Low Income Subsidy (LIS), and Medicare Savings Program (MSP).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and experience with Excel.
- Excellent oral communication skills, ability to communicate with elderly individuals and government personnel.
- 2-3 years of related experience with direct consumer interaction.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and customer service skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret governmental program criteria.
- Ability to manage a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to navigate through multiple databases/monitors with a minimum typing speed of 45 wpm.
- Telephone experience and ability to interact and decipher information via telephonic or correspondence inquiries.
- Strong subject matter expertise in Medicaid program regulations and industry standards.
- Case management experience or related experience/intermediate.
- A compassionate and empathetic nature with a strong desire to help and make a difference.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
