Summary
Under the guidance of a Certified Clinical Research Nurse mentor plans, coordinates, and provides excellent professional nursing care for clinical research patients in accordance with physician orders, clinical drug and device protocol guidelines, department policies and procedures, American Nurses Association standards of Clinical Practice, Indiana Nurse Practice Act and the ANA Code of Ethics. Additionally coordinates clinical research trials, regulatory activities, staff education and efficient operations at Parkview Research Center (PRC) in compliance with government and industry regulations including the Code of Federal Regulations for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), health and Human Services (HHS), International Conference on Harmonisation Guidelines (ICH) and Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (GCPs).
Education
Requires an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license required. Must have CPR certification. Must take CITI training with in the first month of employment. Additional certifications may be required for specified areas.
Experience
Additional experience required depending on area of specialty and assignment.
Other Qualifications
Must have good verbal and written communication skills Must have knowledge of basic computer functions including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet. Must have good data management skills and attention to detail. Depending on job assignment travel and call maybe required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds.
