Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated MEP Superintendent with a strong background in hospital construction and facilities management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of overseeing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in healthcare environments, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of MEP systems in hospital settings, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest quality standards.
Coordinate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure all MEP work aligns with project specifications, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
Ensure all MEP systems comply with healthcare regulations and standards, including safety and infection control protocols, to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
Manage and supervise MEP subcontractors and on-site personnel, providing clear direction and support to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety, identifying and addressing any issues or potential delays.
Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to MEP systems promptly, working collaboratively with all stakeholders to find effective solutions.
Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and achievements.
Maintain detailed project documentation and records, ensuring all information is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
Implement best practices for energy efficiency and sustainability in MEP systems, identifying opportunities to reduce environmental impact and operational costs.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with hospital administrators, staff, and other key stakeholders, ensuring open communication and strong collaboration.
Ensure all personnel are trained and knowledgeable about hospital-specific requirements and procedures, including emergency response and disaster preparedness.
Coordinate and oversee the commissioning and handover process for MEP systems, ensuring all systems are fully operational and meet all performance criteria.
Monitor and manage project budgets, providing regular updates and ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, continuously seeking ways to improve processes and outcomes.
Qualifications:
Low Voltage and MEP Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in MEP supervision, with at least 3 years in a hospital or healthcare environment.
In-depth knowledge of hospital MEP systems and relevant healthcare regulations.
Strong leadership and project management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
