Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos
- Take customer orders and provide exceptional customer service
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
- Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation
- Assist with food preparation, such as sandwiches, pastries, and snacks
- Use time management skills to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient service
- Utilize point-of-sale (POS) system to process orders and track inventory
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a barista or in the food industry is preferred
- Knowledge of retail math for cash handling and transactions
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper hygiene practices
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with operating a cash register or POS system
- Passion for coffee and willingness to learn about different coffee beans and brewing methods
