ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will serve as a Security Consultant in GMR Security’s rapidly growing consulting business. You will have significant responsibilities in the service delivery of safety and security programs and projects associated with client-owned and leased properties in the North American market. This role will report to the Senior Director of Security Consulting, GMR Security and will be responsible for developing, documenting and implementing aspects of comprehensive safety and security programs (e.g. physical security, technical security, life safety, policy, guard force operation, interagency liaison, standard and procedure development, etc.) or projects (e.g. risk assessments, security audits or reviews, etc.) for campuses, branches/retail, data centers, office buildings and other buildings within a client’s defined portfolio.

You will be expected to utilize your experience and expertise while working in a complex and collaborative culture and environment, creating opportunity for strategic execution and operation with internal and external staff groups and varying client lines of businesses. To be successful, you must have demonstrated experience and a passion to listen to our customer’s needs, shaping sound and highly effective solutions to accomplish the customer’s goals. You will identify risk exposures, develop, and execute comprehensive solutions and consultation to help our clients in improving the security and safety of their assets, employees, and contractors. In this role, you may directly or indirectly manage resources across diverse types of security assignments.
You can expect to lead projects of high technical complexity and an elevated risk profile; therefore, the individual filling the role is viewed as a subject-matter expert (SME). You will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with senior management across client portfolios and will routinely consult with various client stakeholders on safety and security risks as well as assist with the implementation of necessary solutions. You can expect to routinely interact with external stakeholders such as property management, local and federal law enforcement, and external industry peer group security experts. To be successful, you have a solid safety and security acumen; however, you are the type of person who will aggressively pursue opportunities to expand your professional portfolio to stay abreast of evolving tactics, technologies, and engage in benchmarking opportunities with industry peers as often as possible.

Responsibilities:
- Authors, reviews, and consults on the delivery of complex safety and security programs including site operations, facility security reviews, risk assessments, physical security, life safety, first responder liaison, guard force management, and other client activities or programs to ensure the protection of people, property, and assets.
- Provides security training internally and externally.
- Forges partnerships with internal GMR Security, GMR Electrical and GMR Protection Resources, Inc. colleagues.
- Builds relationships with client Corporate Security representatives, key stakeholders, and others as appropriate (e.g., law enforcement) to ensure the successful completion and delivery of projects.
- Executes activities in the support of services and deliverables as identified in support of client projects.
- Designs and presents strategic plans, metrics, etc. to report progress/status of all client projects, services, programs, etc. for which they are responsible.
- Develops relationships with clients and strategic partners, with the goal of growing revenue at GMR Security.
- Understands GMR Security products and services, with the goal of selling those products and services to new and prospective clients.
Qualifications:
- At least 5-years of Corporate Security experience or 5-years security risk consulting experience.
- Industry certifications (e.g., CFSSP, CHPA, CPP, PSP, or CISSP) preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in criminal justice or similar preferred.
