Job Description
Abbott House is seeking a skillful clinician/therapist to join the Group Homes team. In this role you will provide individual and/or family therapy for children and youth services in Treatment Family Foster Care/Group Home settings. You will prepare goal-oriented diagnostic assessments, individual & group counseling, and program enrichment. In addition, you will provide clinical guidance to case managers and socio therapist staff.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group and/or family therapy to children and youth in the Treatment Foster Care and Group Home Departments.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other Mental Health Services providers if youth has been seen outside for mental health treatment.
- Attend regularly scheduled social services treatment team meetings for case reviews and treatment planning for children in residential and community-based placements.
- Assist social service staff in identifying appropriate educational, developmental and mental health services in communities where children reside.
- Serve as a clinical liaison with community mental health providers who are serving children in foster placement with Abbott House.
- Maintain clinical records and progress notes and submit monthly updates
- Attend clinical staff and team meetings in which clinical issues, and agency and department functioning are discussed.
- Provide complete documentation of evaluations and treatments according to agency standards.
About You
You are the ideal candidate if you have a passion for helping underserved communities manage their mental health issues while empowering them to make healthy choices. Being empathetic, organized and responsive are critical attributes to be successful in this role.
- You have at least a Master’s in Social Work or related field. LCSW preferred.
- You have knowledge of evidence practice and complex trauma.
- You have knowledge of childhood development, family dynamics, and trauma-based behaviors.
- You are able to work evening or weekend hours.
