As a Registered Nurse (RN), your role will involve assessing patient health, administering treatments, managing medications, and providing emotional support and education to patients and their families. You will be instrumental in developing care plans that cater to the physical, psychological, and social needs of the elderly.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Health Assessment: Conducting thorough evaluations to identify the needs of elderly patients.
- Admissions/and Discharging
- Care Plan Development: Creating personalized plans to address specific health conditions and goals.
- Medication and Treatment Administration: Managing medications, treatments, and monitoring for any adverse effects.
- Wound Care: Handling chronic or acute wounds, a common concern for elderly patients.
- Chronic Condition Monitoring: Keeping tabs on health issues like diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease.
- Patient and Family Education:
- Guiding in managing health conditions and promoting wellness.
- Mental Health Support: Addressing cognitive changes and mental health issues with appropriate interventions
- Daily Living Assistance: Helping patients with activities of daily living.
Requirements: Active State License in Maryland or Compact. Proficiency in Point Click Care software.
