Tri State Life Safety is a low voltage ACCESS CONTROL, CCTV, fire/security company that works throughout the southeast in addition to national accounts throughout the country. You will be responsible for low voltage security installations, service and inspections in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, Industry standards and applicable codes. You will be dispatched daily to customer sites and be responsible for resolving the customer’s system problems in the highest professional and safe manner. You will complete all site documentation on an electronic device which will require knowledge of personal tablet technology. The selected candidate will be of strong moral character and understand that they will be representing Tri State Life Safety and themselves on all job sites. Therefore, you will always present yourself in a clean and professional manner with a primary focus on customer satisfaction, quality and safety.
· Servicing, installing, testing, and maintaining low voltage security cable, equipment, components and devices associated with ACCESS CONTROL, CCTV Systems, Security Systems, Fire Systems, Voice-Data Systems and following blueprints of system layouts.
· Installing and mounting electronic devices, panels, sensors, and components.
· Performing installations requiring knowledge of all color codes for copper cabling, multi-pair cable, fiber optics and more.
· Complete knowledge of testing equipment, termination tools, fusion splicing.
· Inspecting installation sites and studying work orders, blueprints, and installation manuals in order to determine material requirements and installation procedures.
· Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
· Reading contract drawings.
· Trouble shooting Fire Systems and doing inspections.
Qualifications / Skills Sets / Expectations:
· A minimum of seven to ten (7-10) years of experience working in the ACCESS CONTROL, CCTV Security, Fire Alarm industry.
· A minimum of two to three (2-3) years working independently
· Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.
· Must be able to travel as needed.
· Must have reliable transportation.
· Hand tools required for low voltage work.
· Take a personal interest in the quality and completion of each job.
· Must have strong communication skills
· Must have strong computer skills
· Must be able to read diagrams and blueprints
· Must have a strong background in trouble shooting and problem solving.
· Must have a strong background in CCTV, IDS, Access Control, PA, and Intercom systems.
Physical Abilities:
· Relocate a twelve-foot stepladder without assistance.
· Work at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
· Walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
· Must be able to lift 50lbs
· Possess good vision (may be corrected vision); have the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
· May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
· Must be committed to excellence and generate a high quality of work.
· Must consistently report to work on time; work well with other employees to accomplish a common goal; maintain a safe work environment.
· Must be able to work alone or in a 2–5-man team
· Must wear appropriate footwear and clothes for construction sites.
· Must have reliable transportation and be willing to work on projects anywhere.
· Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
