Position Title: HR Coordinator
Reports To: HR Director
Status: Exempt 32 Hours per week
Position Summary:
We are searching for an efficient HR Professional to provide administration support and handle credentialing activities for the Human Resources department. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative responsibilities. The HR Coordinator will facilitate daily HR functions and help with recruiting, scheduling, and training tasks. The HR Coordinator will also act as the liaison between the department and other employees. Responsibilities:
- Comply with Camillus Health Concern’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Assist with recruiting tasks such as reviewing resumes, conducting and scheduling interviews, hiring, and following up with candidates.
- Handles credentialing and re-credentialing applications for medical staff and works closely with HCN Credentialing Coordinators to complete the process.
- Administers pre-employment tests; conducts reference checks.
- Performs a wide range of duties relative to the maintenance and processing of personnel records and reports.
- Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records.
- Provides clerical and operational support to the HR Director
- Assists with benefits administration as needed.
- Assists the department in carrying out various human resource programs and procedures for all staff.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned by HR Director.
Requirements:
- BSc/BA in Business Administration or HR Management
- SHRM or HRCI Certified Professional or achieved within one year.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize work.
- Tact and professionalism in dealing with confidential information and addressing employee concerns.
- Proficiency with technology, and the ability to pick up new software easily.
- Proficiency in administrative duties such as communications, data entry, and maintain records.
Qualifications and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm for working within a team environment.
- Understanding of labor laws
- Desire to grow within the company.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a health care setting
- CPCS Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist preferred.
- Culturally sensitive to the social, psychological and health care needs of the Homeless and/or underserved populations
