The Behavioral Health Technician is primarily responsible for the safety and observation of clients receiving substance abuse and mental health treatment. The following is basic job description duties:
Observing and reporting client behaviors.
Transporting clients to and from clinical services, twelve step meetings, appointments, and outside activities.
Ensuring the safety of clients and other staff at all times.
Property and room inspections daily.
Monitoring and accounting for clients throughout the shift.
Randomly testing clients (observing urine collection for testing, performing breathalyzer testing).
Requirements for the position:
Knowledge of addiction and mental health disorders
Knowledge of 12 step recovery
CPR
First Aid
Clean driving record; and a valid drivers license
