Responsibilities
- Initial in-home assessment, development of the plan of care as applicable and regularly supervises the needs of the client every 90 days.
- Manage in-home aides to ensure the level of care is being rendered according to the plan of care.
- Observe and report changes in the patient’s physical and/or emotional condition.
- Initiate preventative procedures as appropriate for the patient’s care and safety and effecting changes in environment to ensure patient safety and security.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and agency matters.
- Submit required documentation in a timely manner.
- Assist the administrator in decision making and policy formation as it pertains to the home care services.
- In addition to scheduled hours, participating in weekend/holiday call schedule, as needed.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Valid and current RN license in the state of North Carolina
- CPR & 1st aid certified, good standings on nurse registry
- 1-3 years of nursing experience (home care experience, preferred)
- Supervisory skills, a plus
- Excellent communication skills, flexible and able to interact positively with the rest of the staff
- Strong sense of initiative and urgency in addressing unexpected patient crises
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $40.00 per hour
