The Material Specialist I is an entry level position responsible for Job pick tickets to pull, issue, and deliver materials to maintain work schedules, return materials, troubleshoot problems, physical receiving check in, stock to Bin location, kit production orders, cycle counts, and packing/crating outside process / spare or finished goods. This position is responsible to ensure that our daily, weekly, and monthly goals are met, while ensuring inventory levels remain accurate.
This is a temporary position - 90 days. Hours are Monday - Friday 1:30pm - 10:00 pm. Overtime, as required.
Assignment of Functions or Duties:
1. Kit production orders per pick ticket or package finished goods in preparation for production, return materials, and prep for shipment if necessary with proper identification if GOP.
2. Physically check-in and verification of incoming material to inventory stock to ensure counts, quantity, and part numbers are correct into a proper location.
4. Physical movement of materials and finished goods to facilitate picking, and delivery to end user, receiving material to proper bin location, or material movement to external customers to support production / manufacturing.
5. Establish and maintain interdepartmental relationships with Quality, Purchasing, Production, and Manufacturing to facilitate communication of information on a daily basis.
6. Notify the Material Lead, Quality Supervisor, Quality Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer and the Materials Supervisor if non-conforming equipment, materials, or sub-assemblies are detected. Assign/identify the suspected non-conforming part to prevent further use.
7. Perform all facets of Material functions (issue, transfer, and move materials)
8. Create and enter data into Excel spreadsheets for reporting purposes.
9. Performs inventory Cycle Counts as required / or if needed to serve as back up.
10. Support other manufacturing activities as required.
11. Keep records and paperwork organized, filed correctly, and current.
12. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, 6S area to ensure the proper care of machinery, equipment, material, and safety of fellow co-workers.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum two years recent receiving, inventory control, or warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of MicroSoft software applications. Epicor experience preferred.

Some skills using various tools and be able to pass forklift certification.

The ability to communicate, read, and write in English.

Must have valid driver's license
